2015

Happy New Year, friends.

Can you believe it's 2015? How is this humanly possible?

When I was in 6th grade, I calculated the year I would theoretically graduate from college if I did it in 4 years (check). I discovered that 2015 was the year. I remember thinking, HOLY SH*T!
(obviously I didn't think that... it was more like SHOOT!)
But anyway, HOLY SH*T I thought! In 2015 ,we will be living in the Jetson's world, riding around in little space ships! I didn't think it was possible, or that it could ever be real.
But alas, here we are... In 2015. Sadly, I'm not driving a space ship, but I drive a Saturn... Does that count?
This is it, folks. This is the year every thing changes

This year, I will graduate from college and get a big-girl J-O-B.

This year, I'm going to get my own place and be the one paying the bills.

This year, my parents will finally pass my cellphone bill off to me.

There is so much changing this year. I usually don't like change. We have a bad track record, change and me. I hated him when he was the reason my family moved to Tulsa and switched me into a brand new middle school, followed by a new high school the next year.

But now, I'm welcoming change with open arms. You see, for the first time in my life, I don't know what I am going to do. I haven't made a precise plan with boxes to check. I'm keeping myself totally open to whatever comes my way. I'm so ready to just leap for once and not have a blessed itinerary.

Everyone always says it's a "new year, new me", but I really don't want to look at 2015 that way. For the first time in my life, I'm happy with the me I am. I feel I'm the best possible version of me right now, and I wouldn't want any other Kelsey to go through the abundant changes that are set to take place.

Don't let this peppy post fool you, I. Am. Terrified. But my fear is diluted with a healthy dose of excitement. Together, this blend is setting the stage for a year I will never forget.

So friends, I say we give a big 'ole cheers to 2015. This is the year that every thing changes. This is the year I have been waiting my whole life for.

Cheers,
xo.
